Melbourne photographer and pilot Ric Wallis's stunning series of aerial images from his first exhibition Over Lake Eyre portray painterly and abstract interpretations of the magical world below. At first glance the large pigments prints of Lake Eyre might be interpreted as landscapes from distant planets or abstract paintings, however closer inspection slowly reveals hints that these images are indeed unadulterated views of a unique and real world on our back doorstep.
